Core application evidence
Requirement
The OECS application uses an Oklahoma background check, official transcripts sent directly from every college and a legible source certificate showing its class, dates, areas and any deficiencies.
Which application this evidence supports
Oklahoma accepts a completed out-of-state preparation program and a Standard, Professional or equivalent source certificate when Oklahoma offers a comparable certification area.
What can change this answer
The source credential must reflect completed program requirements; Provisional, Emergency and Temporary credentials are not reciprocal, though some Initial licenses missing only source-state experience can be reviewed individually.
Conditions to resolve before sending records
- •Standard, Professional and equivalent completed-program licenses are accepted
- •Provisional, Emergency, Temporary and equivalent credentials are not accepted for reciprocity
- •The requested Oklahoma area must be comparable to the source area
- •Testing and coursework are not added for areas that Oklahoma reciprocates, but may apply to new or unmatched areas
Send identity documents and background records only where the state agency instructs. TeachPassport does not receive them.
