We read the state’s own requirements, record where each answer came from and keep checking for changes. When the state leaves room for judgment, we say so.

We use agency pages, regulations and official application materials—not third-party reciprocity charts.
Keep a record
We record the exact source and date behind each requirement so changes do not slip through unnoticed.
Check again
Every source has a next-check date. If it changes or becomes overdue, we review the guidance again.
Say when we’re unsure
If official sources are missing, conflicting or leave the decision to the agency, we tell you.

How we watch for changes
We check 69 sources automatically for availability and content changes. Another 19 sources sit on agency sites that block reliable automated checks, so we review those by hand on a set schedule. If a source is overdue, we pause any guidance that depends on it.
What a guide cannot tell you
No guide can promise that a state will issue your license. The agency makes that decision after reviewing your application. TeachPassport uses your details to narrow the path and points out where the agency still has the final say.
