Record timing
Louisiana processes requests in the order received. The private portal shows whether an application is waiting on employer or preparation-provider verification and when it reaches a certification specialist.
If the search comes up empty
Check these before you stop
- •Check the spelling and try a former name used when the certificate was issued.
- •Remember that an application still in review is not yet an issued public certificate.
- •Sign in to the Louisiana Educator Portal to review your certifications and application status.
Issued certificate vs. pending application
LDOE says applicants can follow application status in the Louisiana Educator Portal. The public Teach Louisiana search is for issued records, so use the private portal for pending steps, agency requests and correspondence.
