How to find the right Georgia record

  1. 1Search by certificate number when you know it.
  2. 2Otherwise enter the educator's first and last name.
  3. 3Open the matching record and check each certificate field and status shown by GaPSC.

What the public record can answer

  • Georgia certificate fields held by the educator

  • Certificate status and other public credential details

  • The educator's Certification ID when GaPSC includes it in the record

Record timing

GaPSC posts the receipt date it is currently processing on its site. That date moves with the queue, and the agency asks applicants to wait at least two weeks after completing an application before raising a concern.

No result does not mean no license

  • Recheck the name and try a former name used with GaPSC.
  • Use the certificate or Certification ID for a more specific search when available.
  • If the certificate has not issued, sign in to MyPSC and open Application Status.

Issued certificate vs. pending application

GaPSC directs applicants to MyPSC for application status and does not provide status checks by phone or email. The public lookup verifies certificates; it does not show that a complete application is moving through review.
