The exact tier controls the next application
Use Wisconsin License Lookup before choosing an ELO application. Similar-sounding older licenses do not always follow the same process.

A Tier II Provisional Educator License is a renewable three-year license. Application 3020 requests reissuance, and there is no limit on reissuances.
- 02
A Tier II holder with six qualifying Wisconsin semesters and all stipulations satisfied may use application 8000 for a Tier III Lifetime License instead.
- 03
A Tier III Lifetime Educator License does not renew. Application 5900 completes the required background check at least every five years.
- 04
Wisconsin does not assign a professional-learning or renewal-credit total to either process.
