Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission record help

Why isn’t my Oregon teacher certificate showing up?

A missing public result does not, by itself, prove that a certificate never existed or that an application was denied. Check what this state publishes, retry the official search carefully and then use the right private or historical record process.

Retry the official Oregon search

The search happens on the agency site. TeachPassport does not receive the name, credential number or result you enter there.

First check

Search the record the way Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission expects

  1. 01Search by first name, last name or both when you know the educator's name.
  2. 02Use the TSPC Account Number when you have it for the most specific match.
  3. 03Choose View beside the educator, then select a license to see its endorsements and specializations.

What this public record includes

Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission

  • 01

License type, effective and expiration dates, status, restrictions and any grace-period end date

  • 02

Endorsements and specializations associated with the selected license

  • 03

The authorization level TSPC lists for each endorsement or specialization

Record timing

TSPC processes applications in the order received and posts the current processing dates on its homepage. If your status is Awaiting Applicant Response, read the message, add the requested item and reply to that message so the evaluator knows it is ready.

If the result is still missing

Use the right next record

  • Check the spelling and try the name held in the educator's TSPC account.
  • Remember that the public search is limited to educators with an active and valid license.
  • If you are waiting on your own application, sign in to eLicensing for its current status and messages.

Pending application

A pending file may not belong in the public lookup

The public search is for active, valid licenses. Applicants should use their private eLicensing account, where TSPC shows statuses such as Awaiting Evaluation, Evaluation in Progress or Awaiting Applicant Response and posts requests in the Messages tab.
