Streamlined reciprocity
A current valid, unencumbered regular teaching certificate based on completed educator preparation can qualify for Nebraska reciprocity; NDE maps the applicant to the appropriate Nebraska certificate and endorsements.
No content test
Nebraska's current out-of-state guidance states that content tests are no longer required for teaching certificates.
Core evidence
The reciprocity process uses the TEACH application, current source certificate, fingerprints and optional employment-experience verification; official transcripts are not required when NDE can use reciprocity.
