Experience and degree set the level
With aligned Louisiana exams complete, verified experience below three years supports Level 1, at least three years supports Level 2, and at least five years plus a graduate degree supports Level 3; otherwise the three-year OS bridge generally applies.
Praxis controls the bridge
The three-year Out-of-State certificate gives an otherwise qualified educator time to complete Louisiana Praxis requirements; completed aligned Praxis or qualifying experience and National Board evidence can change the resulting level.

Recent-service boundary
