Does Georgia accept out-of-state teaching licenses?
An out-of-state license can open a path to Georgia certification, but it does not transfer automatically. The state decides which certificate, endorsements, tests or additional requirements apply.

Experience boundary
An otherwise qualified out-of-state educator with at least three years of successful full-time experience may qualify for a Georgia Professional certificate; an educator with less than three years may qualify for an Induction certificate.
Georgia-specific requirements
Unmet content-knowledge or literacy requirements can produce a one-year Non-Renewable Professional or one-year Induction certificate that must be cleared before extension.
