Requirement
The rule requires official degree and preparation transcripts, the active non-provisional out-of-state license, a complete application, required fees and TSPC background clearance including fingerprints when necessary.
Which application this evidence supports
Oregon's Reciprocal Teaching License gives an educator with active non-provisional out-of-state licensure and completed preparation a one-year transition into the Oregon licensing system.
What can change this answer
An applicant who already satisfies Oregon's full non-provisional requirements can bypass the reciprocal license; otherwise the one-year reciprocal license is nonrenewable and the educator must complete Oregon content and civil-rights or ethics requirements before it expires.
Conditions to resolve before sending records
- •An expired out-of-state license must first be reinstated in a NASDTEC jurisdiction
- •The applicant must not have previously held an Oregon non-provisional educator license or completed an Oregon preparation program
- •The reciprocal license is valid for one year and is not renewable
- •Endorsement recognition depends on a similar Oregon endorsement and progression requires Oregon-approved content and civil-rights or ethics evidence
