Before you search
How to find the right Arkansas record
- 01Search by first and last name using the name held by the Arkansas Department of Education.
- 02Use the educator's Case ID when you know it; AELS says the Case ID can be used by itself.
- 03Open the matching applicant record and review the most recently issued license rather than relying on the results list alone.
What the public record can answer

- 02

Record timing
AELS labels the public license view as the most recently issued license. Use the private Educator Profile for activity that has not yet produced a newly issued public license.
If the search comes up empty
Check these before you stop
- •Check the exact name and try the educator's middle name or initial only when it helps distinguish a match.
- •Use the Case ID when available instead of adding more personal information to a name search.
- •If you are the educator, use the private Educator Profile to view your license activity or an online application.
Issued certificate vs. pending application
Arkansas uses the private AELS Educator Profile for online applications, license activity and the educator's own record. The public search can confirm a state licensure record, but applicants should sign in for current application activity.
