If the portal has no useful update
Stop before guessing
- Confirm that the application was submitted rather than left as a draft and that the required fee was accepted.
- Check whether transcripts, test scores, experience forms or other records must arrive from a third party.
- Use the agency's published contact route when the file is beyond its stated window or the portal asks for something you cannot identify.
Only North Carolina Department of Public Instruction can decide whether the file is complete or issue the credential. TeachPassport cannot expedite the review or interpret silence as approval or denial.
