Maine law authorizes a five-year Reciprocal Professional Certificate for an applicant who completes the criminal-history check and holds a comparable certificate from another jurisdiction, within the identified-shortage framework.
Alternative review remains
Applicants who do not fit the reciprocal shortage route can be evaluated through Maine's approved-program or transcript-analysis pathways, where coursework and any submitted test evidence are reviewed individually.
