Current standard license
Kansas's current out-of-state route requires a current standard teaching license in good standing, with the Kansas license aligned to the endorsements carried on that credential.
Short content-test bridge
An initial applicant who meets all other requirements but lacks the applicable Praxis content assessment can receive a temporary nonrenewable license valid only through June 30 of the school year issued.
Core evidence
Kansas requires official degree transcripts, the current standard source license, preparation-program verification, content-assessment evidence, recent teaching-experience verification and fingerprints for the background check.
Recent-experience threshold
The current licensed-out-of-state instructions require proof of at least one year of teaching within the two years immediately before the application date.
